Terms of Use

Effective October 19, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Tread Consulting for your use of Lifespan ("My Lifespan" on the App Store). By using Lifespan you agree to them.

Apple's Standard EULA

If you downloaded Lifespan from the App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). If these terms conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls to the extent of the conflict.

Not medical advice

Lifespan is a diary and coaching tool. It isn't a medical device and doesn't diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Calorie and nutrition numbers are estimates and can be wrong. Your Twin won't suggest doses of drugs, peptides or supplements. Talk to a qualified clinician before changing your diet, exercise or medication, and call your local emergency number in an emergency.

Who can use Lifespan

You must be 18 or older and able to agree to these terms. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for activity on your account.

Subscriptions and free trial

Lifespan Standard is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly at $9.99/month or yearly at $69.99/year (US prices; prices in other countries may vary and are shown in the app before you buy).
New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and you're charged the plan price.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase (or when the free trial ends).
Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple ID settings: on iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Lifespan. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com).

Your content

You own what you put into Lifespan. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you. Your entries and photos are private to your account; Lifespan has no sharing or community features. See our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Don't try to access other people's data or interfere with the service.
Don't reverse engineer the service or use it to build a competing dataset.
Don't upload content you don't have the right to upload.

Ending your account

You can delete your account in the app (Me → Settings → Delete account) at any time. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your Apple ID settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Disclaimers and liability

Lifespan is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Tread Consulting isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Lifespan in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Apple

These terms are between you and Tread Consulting, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Lifespan, isn't responsible for claims about the app, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. We'll tell you in the app before material changes take effect. Questions: jarviscompany@mail.grokbot.com.
